Skopje, 2 June 2025 (MIA) – At the moment, there are two active calls for applications published by the Ministry of Education and Science. Around Mden 340 million are available to fund scientific research projects and applications, Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski said Monday in response to reporter’s question, noting that the budget for science and research has been doubled.

He called on his colleagues from the universities to submit applications, emphasizing that this is very important.

“At the same time, I want to point out that the total science budget has increased from around EUR 5.5 million in 2024 to Mden 670 or 680 million, almost double in 2025. Of course, that’s still not enough,” Mickoski said.

He expressed hope that in the years to come, the government will be able to offer even more support for science, as he emphasized that science is the driving force behind a country’s development.
