Skopje, 10 August 2025 (MIA) - Macedonia rests on the investment of these people and their deeds, says Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski on the observances of 24 years from the death of eight Army reservists in Ljubotenski Bachila.
"Respect and glory for the Ljuboten heroes. We can build a society where such tragedies will not repeat only by truth, respect and sincere will for reconciliation. Long live their sacrifice for the homeland. Macedonia rests on the investment of these people and their deeds," PM Mickoski wrote in a Facebook post.
On 10 August 2001, an army vehicle hit two planted mines at a road near Ljubotenski Bachila. Skopje garrison reservists Tome Badarovski, Goce Chankulovski, Branko Janev, Tomislav Nastevski, Marjancho Boshkovski, Ivica Zlatevski, Tome Dimoski and Rade Jankovski were killed in the incident. Police officer Aco Angelovski, who was killed in the village of Arachinovo in an attack on a police patrol in 2000, is also honored on this day.
