Skopje, 20 August 2025 (MIA) – Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski, in a response to reporters’ questions involving the Kochani fire case five months after 62 people were killed after a fire broke out in a nightclub, said it is up to the judicial bodies to complete the procedure.

“I’ve been refraining from commenting lately and I will keep on doing so. It is up to the prosecution and judicial bodies to complete the procedure. As far as I know, the indictment is being assessed by the courts, so I wouldn’t like to comment,” Mickoski stated Wednesday speaking to members of the media after the opening of a new production hall by the company Amphenol in the Municipality of Kochani.

The Public Prosecution Office filed an indictment regarding the Kochani deadly fire on June 13 charging 34 people and three companies. The Skopje Criminal Court took over the case after it was concluded that the Kochani court lacks judges and resources to handle such extensive process.
