Mickoski meets with Milanović, calls for full membership to EU

Skopje, 7 May 2025 (MIA) — A stable, prosperous and integrated Europe is impossible without the entire region gaining full membership to the European Union, Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski said Wednesday after his working lunch with President of Croatia Zoran Milanović on an official visit to North Macedonia.
In a Facebook post, PM Mickoski said he had talked about deepening cooperation with President Milanović as well as the importance of shared efforts in dealing with global challenges.
"Our conversation was imbued with sincere views, regional perspectives and shared visions for the future," the prime minister wrote.
He added that the Croatian head of state had confirmed Croatia's support "for Macedonia's European future and the clear EU membership perspective."
Earlier Wednesday, Milanović met with his Macedonian counterpart, President Gordana Siljanovska Davkova, after being welcomed to the country by Foreign Minister Timcho Mucunski at the Skopje airport. mr/
