Mickoski in Rosoman: VMRO-DPMNE and coalition to record major victory on election day

Rosoman, 13 October 2025 (MIA) – VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski told a rally Monday in Rosoman that the citizens will express their opinion on October 19, stressing he is certain that it will be a referendum-style vote for VMRO-DPMNE and a major victory for the party and its coalition.

Mickoski reiterated that there are two options in this election: one is to go backwards by supporting a “somewhat formal, somewhat informal, somewhat semiformal coalition” that has united due to two reasons, while the other, he said, is VMRO-DPMNE and its coalition, which represents development for the country.

“The first of the two reasons is the thirst and reckless desire for power, and the second is the pathological hatred toward VMRO-DPMNE. Recently, we heard from the leader of SDSM that they didn’t hate us, or to be more precise, didn’t hate me, but despised me. I’ve heard all sorts of things during this campaign, from messages sent through their journalists and mouthpieces saying they would pack me in a suitcase, dismember my body and pack it in a suitcase, to saying they despised me,” Mickoski said.

The VMRO-DPMNE leader said he has not insulted anyone during the campaign, “unlike SDSM and Venko Filipche”.

"I’m simply saying that in the past seven years while they were in Government, they had the opportunity to show how they fight for their home. But we saw only stealing, humiliation, selling out, and degrading their people, their country, and their citizens. If they feel that is an insult, then I truly don’t know what to say. The truth sometimes hurts. And I’m very careful, not only does it not suit my character to insult, but we also haven’t published a single negative ad in this campaign. We’ve consistently talked about projects, plans, and vision. They started their campaign with a smear campaign, attacks, and low blows like packing me dismembered in a suitcase, which one of their gurus said would be the punchline of the campaign – whose opinion pieces are published and quoted by the SDSM leadership. Then there’s the latest thing I heard from someone who should essentially be my colleague, a university professor, saying that SDSM activists despise me, not hate me," Mickoski said.
