Skopje, 12 September 2025 (MIA) - I expect a campaign full of speculations, fabrications, manipulations, and untruths from the opposition and their few supporters, said Prime Minister and VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski in response to a journalist’s question about the upcoming local elections.

"After presenting the election coalition and the signing of the “Declaration for Macedonia for the citizens and for municipalities that shape the future," Mickoski said that VMRO-DPMNE and its coalition partners will present the work and accomplishments of mayors during the last four years.

“As a coalition, we have accomplishments to show citizens: what we have done in the past four years in municipalities, and what we have achieved over the past 15 months as the central government. We will try to make a difference between the seven years under DUI and SDSM and the last four years under this coalition, which now also leads the government,” Mickoski said.
