Kumanovo, 4 October 2025 (MIA) - VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski in a rally Saturday in Kumanovo as part of the local election campaign mentioned the SDSM leader's red lines calling them "Trojan horse."

"People no longer buy their tricks. See how SDSM is preparing a gift for Bulgaria. This gift is a Tojan horse, nicely wrapped in so called red lines. In fact, it is yet another concession before our eastern neighbor. I remember that the former prime minister of our eastern neighbor said publicly that he had financed this option by SDS, the party whose leader is Venko, with a suitcase filled with money for his guru and mentor in Strumica. I don't want to believe it's true, but it's logical that they knocked on the same door and they are once again hoping for a new suitcase, a gift our eastern neighbor can pay - a new proposal for another treason of the national and state interests," said Mickoski.

He noted that no one buys SDSM and Filipche's tricks pledging he will prevent anyone from building political careers on the back of the national and state interests.

"This time, the major obstacle is we, the people of Macedonia and VMRO-DPMNE, because they know very well it won't be allowed. What we don't know now is how much money our eastern neighbor paid the SDS leadership to present this proposal calling it shamelessly a resolution with red lines," said Mickoski.

He called on voters to take to the polls in great numbers on October 19 to "prevent a new treason from happening."

"Since Venko is good for our eastern neighbor, this means only one thing for Macedonians - a new treason, which I will not allow to happen. There is no price that can ruin my reputation. I only promise honor and I admit it'll be hard, but we won't be ashamed. We all decided to take the hard road. We won't go down the road of shame. The national and state interests won't be abused by them to build careers. This time the people know their trick. They will suffer a crushing defeat come October 19," said Mickoski.
