Mickoski at Kochani fire anniversary: Let their memory live on and our unity guide us forward

Skopje, 16 March 2026 (MIA) – Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski, attending Monday’s commemoration at the Park of the Revolution in Kochani marking the anniversary of the tragic Pulse nightclub fire, said the memory of the victims should live on, while shared humanity and unity must remain strength that moves society forward.

“Today in Kochani we express quiet but deep respect for the innocent lives that ended too soon. One year on, the pain and emptiness remain in every heart, together with the memory of the dreams that were never fulfilled,” Mickoski wrote on Facebook.

He signed the book of condolences and extended his deepest sympathy to the families of the victims.

“I signed the book of condolences with great respect, as a sincere tribute to the victims and an expression of solidarity with their families, and attended the commemorative event ‘Day of Remembrance – March 16, 2025’ at the Beli Mugri Cultural Center. May the memory of those lost remain eternal, and may our shared humanity and unity serve as a guiding force. With heartfelt sympathy for the families, Kochani remembers, Macedonia remembers,” Mickoski stated.
