Vinica, 24 October 2025 (MIA) — After seven years of institutional neglect, concrete investments and projects are back in Vinica, the Minister of Culture and Tourism, Zoran Ljutkov said Friday, announcing the beginning of a project of restoration and conservation of Vinica's Kale in 2026, MIA's Kochani correspondent reports.
According to Ljutkov, the project would be implemented by the National Conservation Center, the National Archaeological Museum and the Vinica Terracotta Museum.
"The project includes the full conservation of buildings and ramparts, reinforcing the structure of the compromised parts as well as doing modern archaeological research, which will make it possible to protect the site in the long term while also providing public access," Ljutkov said.

Ljutkov said the project's objective was to boost local cultural tourism, archaeological research and educational programs in Vinica.
"The site will become a vibrant cultural space, open to all citizens, visitors and future generations," he told the local press.
He also said the local government had reconstructed the local movie theater and cultural center, which he said would lead to more cultural events, concerts and theater performances.

"This is proof that with clear political will, strategic support and local commitment we can achieve a lot. Vinica is and must remain an important place on the country's cultural and economic map," Ljutkov said.
