Kochani nightclub fire proceedings to be conducted at Skopje-based Criminal Court

Skopje, 25 June 2025 (MIA) - The Supreme Court of the Republic of North Macedonia adopted a decision Wednesday designating the Basic Criminal Court in Skopje as the relevant court to conduct the judicial proceedings related to the fire at the “Pulse” nightclub in Kochani.
According to the indictment, 34 individuals and three legal entities have been accused of committing grave crimes against general safety.
The suspects include venue owners, managers, inspectors, mayors, security personnel, and government officials.
Due to insufficient evidence, proceedings have been dropped for 11 individuals, including two former ministers.
The fire that broke out at the Kochani nightclub on March 16 claimed 62 lives and left nearly 200 injured.
