Interethnic relations currently stable, says Deputy PM Stoilkovikj

Skopje, 24 June 2025 (MIA) - The interethnic relations in the country are currently stable, there is a stable parliamentary majority and from that aspect the situation is completely normal, and when this is the case there is room for the country to focus on what is most important for the citizens and that is the economy, said Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Inter-Community Relations Ivan Stoilkovikj at a panel discussion Tuesday marking the Government’s one year in office.

“When you ask about interethnic relations, the answer is very simple, they are being used as part of the campaign for local elections. I’m not saying anything new here, as any elections approach, everyone plays cards that go beyond the bounds of normal behavior, which only returns to normal once the elections are over. Right now the interethnic relations in the country are stable, there is a stable parliamentary majority and from that aspect the situation is completely normal, and when this is the case there is room for the country to focus on what is most important for the citizens and that is the economy. This is one of the key contributions of this Government,” Stoilkovikj stressed.
