Skopje, 4 September 2025 (MIA) - Parliament Speaker Afrim Gashi has scheduled a session of the Committee on Oversight of the Work of the National Security Agency and the Intelligence Agency for 11 a.m. Friday, following allegations of unlawful wiretapping by the National Security Agency in the period between 2019 and 2024.

According to Parliament, Friday's session of the Committee will be chaired by SDSM MP Slavjanka Petrovska.

Gashi’s decision to schedule the session comes after VMRO-DPMNE MP and Committee member Ljupcho Prendzov publicly called on the Committee’s chair, European Front MP Skender Rexhepi, to schedule an urgent session. Rexhepi refused to do so, noting he would not call a session while he is “discriminated against” by not being issued a security certificate.
