Skopje, 16 October 2025 (MIA) - The Ministry of Health said Thursday the vaccination against seasonal flu begins as of today, adding that 43,000 citizens have already applied for a shot at vakcinacija.mk.

"Citizens can continue to apply through the application or their family doctor. The Ministry has procured the largest number of vaccines to date - 80,000 doses of quadrivalent vaccine of renowned Dutch manufacturer 'Abbott'. I expect the number of applicants to rise in the coming days," said Health Minister Azir Aliu.

Vulnerable groups are eligible for free vaccination - adults over the age of 65, persons suffering from chronic diseases, health workers, pregnant women, children aged 0-5, persons in retirement homes and staff working in retirement homes.
