Skopje, 11 July 2025 (MIA) - SDSM leader Venko Filipche demands that the perpetrators who attacked Skopje Mayor Danela Arsovska while she was inspecting illegal construction in Chair be immediately convicted, and that proceedings be initiated against the members of the police who "failed to act and protect the representatives of the City".

"It's been six hours since the brutal attack on the Mayor of Skopje, and VMRO-DPMNE and Mickoski still haven't said a word of condemnation. Silence sometimes speaks louder than words. And it's not just about an attack on the Mayor and the City's officials. It's about whether each of us can take a stand against crime without fear," Filipche posted on Facebook. 

According to him, the message the government is sending is that anyone who tries to expose crime will face threats to their personal safety.

"In one year, the security situation in the country has deteriorated catastrophically. The security of citizens, justice, and protection from institutions are practically non-existent. This is something that should seriously concern us all," SDSM leader Venko Filipche said commenting on the attack on the Mayor of the City of Skopje.
