Skopje, 28 June 2025 (MIA) — SDSM leader Venko Filipche is attending the German Social Democratic Party congress taking place Saturday in Berlin.

The slogan of the SPD gathering is "The change begins with us," SDSM said in a press release.

On the sidelines of the conference, Filipche is scheduled to meet with current chairman of the SPD, German Vice Chancellor and Minister of Finance Lars Klingbeil. 

Filipche will also have bilateral meetings with several European politicians and officials. 

At the congress, set to last until Sunday, the SPD delegates will be electing their party's new leadership.

Attendees include top Social Democrats from Europe demonstrating their joint commitment to "European future, social justice and regional cooperation based on the social-democratic values of equality, solidarity and democracy," according to SDSM. mr/
