Exports up 1.7% in January-August 2025: statistics
- The total value of exported goods from North Macedonia in January-August 2025 amounted to EUR 5 278.1 million, a 1.7% increase compared to the same period in 2024. The total value of imported goods in the same period stood at EUR 7 538.2 million, 2.7% more compared to the same period in 2024, State Statistical Office data shows.
Skopje, 7 October 2025 (MIA) - The total value of exported goods from North Macedonia in January-August 2025 amounted to EUR 5 278.1 million, a 1.7% increase compared to the same period in 2024. The total value of imported goods in the same period stood at EUR 7 538.2 million, 2.7% more compared to the same period in 2024, State Statistical Office data shows.
The external trade by products by the Standard International Trade Classification shows that in the exports the most significant products were: supported catalysts with precious metal or precious metal compounds as the active substance, ignition wiring sets and other wiring sets of a kind used in vehicles, aircraft or ships, parts of the seats of subgroup 821.1 and other supported catalysts.
In the imports, the most significant products were: petroleum oils and oils obtained from bituminous minerals (other than crude), other metals of the platinum group and alloys thereof, unwrought or in powder form, platinum and platinum alloys, unwrought or in powder form and electricity.
In the January-August 2025 period, according to the total external trade volume, the most important trade partners were Germany, Great Britain, China, Greece and Serbia, which made up 47.7% of the total volume of trade. The EU Member States accounted for 59.8% of the total trade.
