Evacuation of foreigners from Tel Aviv airport currently not possible, says Macedonian embassy
- North Macedonia’s Embassy to Israel said Sunday that Israel’s airspace and airport are shut down and that the evacuation plan for foreigners via the Tel Aviv airport cannot be implemented. It has been announced the airport will open today, June 22, at 2 pm, the Embassy said in a Facebook post.
Skopje, 22 June 2025 (MIA) – North Macedonia’s Embassy to Israel said Sunday that Israel’s airspace and airport are shut down and that the evacuation plan for foreigners via the Tel Aviv airport cannot be implemented. It has been announced the airport will open today, June 22, at 2 pm, the Embassy said in a Facebook post.
“The Israeli Ministry of Tourism has informed us that the maritime route from Ashdod to Limassol (Cyprus) is functioning (Mano Shipping company). The next ship that has vacant seats, Crown Iris, is set to sail from Ashdod on Friday (June 27). You can buy tickets online on the company’s website. The Macedonian nationals that have no valid passport should contact the Embassy to be issued a Travel List,” said the Embassy.
