Skopje, 8 March 2026 (MIA) - An earthquake measuring 5.5 in local Richter magnitude (ML), with its epicenter in Greece about 200 km south of Skopje, was felt early Sunday morning at 4:32 am in the western and southwestern regions of the country, including Debar, Kichevo, Ohrid, Resen and Struga.

The Seismological Observatory at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, Skopje reported that the felt earthquake had an intensity of III on the European Macroseismic Scale (EMS).
