Skopje, 8 May 2025 (MIA) - Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Inter-Community Relations, Ivan Stoilkovic, held a working meeting on Thursday with a delegation from the UNDP Office in Skopje, led by UNDP Resident Representative Armen Grigoryan.
Stoilkovic and Grigoryan discussed several current topics, the Ministry of Inter-Community Relations said in a press release. The two highlighted the importance of deepening cooperation between the Ministry of Inter-Community Relations and UNDP towards promoting trust between communities in the Western Balkans, it adds.

"Particular attention was paid to promoting digital literacy among members of the communities in Macedonia. In addition, the meeting initiated development of a strategy on observing the World Day for Cultural Diversity (May 21), based on global good practices, with the aim of successfully implementing it in a national context," reads the press release.
Interlocutors agreed that cooperation between the Ministry of Inter-Community Relations and UNDP is a key element in efforts to build and strengthen trust between different communities. Participants in the meeting pointed out that conditions for inclusiveness, mutual understanding and respect for diversity are created through joint activities and projects, especially as part of the "EU Support for Trust Building in the Western Balkans" initiative, which is the basis for a stable and sustainable society. This cooperation, the press release adds, also contributes to promoting digital literacy and media representation of non-majority communities, strengthening their role and voice in society.
