Skopje, 1 August 2025 (MIA) - We expect an economic growth of 3.7 percent in GDP by the end of the year, with a major contribution coming from capital expenditures exceeding EUR 800 million this year, as well as investments in municipal infrastructure, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport Aleksandar Nikoloski told Newsmax Balkans in an interview.
“We started off quite ambitiously as a Government, and we believe that capital expenditures are the heart of Macedonia’s economic growth. This year, we expect a 3.7 percent GDP growth, which will be by far the highest in the region. We aim to return Macedonia to its former path when we were champions of economic growth, and we already succeeded in doing so during the second half of last year. This is our first full year, and the results will be seen,” the Deputy PM stressed.
