Daylight saving time ends this Sunday

Daylight saving time ends this Sunday

Skopje, 24 October 2025 (MIA) – Daylight saving time ends this Sunday, October 26 at 3 am, with clocks rolling back one hour at 2 am.

The decision on implement daylight saving time is made according to the annual practice of regulating daylight saving so as to align with the European regulation, said the Ministry of Energy, Mining and Mineral Resources.

Daylight saving time in the country, as in most of Europe, is implemented twice a year - on the last weekend in March when daylight saving time begins and the last weekend in October when winter time begins.

In addition to the country, daylight saving time will also be applied by most European countries, except for Russia, Turkey, Belarus and Iceland. In addition to Europe, the seasonal change of time is also applied in most countries of North and Central America, as well as in several other countries around the world.

On March 4, 2019, the European Parliament voted to abolish the seasonal change of time starting from 2021. However, the Council of the EU is yet to make a final decision, so it is not entirely certain when the clocks will be changed for the last time. No daylight-saving time is applied in Japan, China, South Korea, nor in countries on the African continent.
