Skopje, 11 July 2025 (MIA) -- A total of 14 wildfires were reported across the country by 12:30 pm. Four are still burning, six have been put under control, two have been localized and two were extinguished, the Crisis Management Center said Friday afternoon. 

According to the CMC, there are no flames now but only smoke arising from a rocky terrain under Solunska Glava in the Jakupica mountain range. A wildfire is still burning in the village of Nikolikj near Dojran, and bushfires are burning in Preovce in the Municipality of Kumanovo and in Rugince in Staro Nagorichane.

Five of the six fires that have been put under control are in the Municipality of Makedonski Brod, in the villages of Kovche, Slatina, Creshnevo, Krapa and Lokvica. The sixth fire under control is between the villages of Blace and Gornjani in the Municipality of Chucher Sandevo.

The two localized wildfires are in the villages of Beshishte in the Municipality of Prilep and Delisinci in the Municipality of Sveti Nikole.

According to the CMC, firefighters have put out the fires near the Holy Trinity Church in Chucher Sandevo and in the Makedonski Brod village of Belica. mr/
