Skopje, 7 July 2025 (MIA) - The Crisis Management Center (CMC) said the fire on the territory of Chucher Sandevo, despite aerial interventions, was still burning out of control. 

According to the CMC, smoke is spreading throughout the entire municipality and the villages of Chucher, Mirkovci, Gluvo, Brazda, all the way to Butel, and a new fire has been registered near ​​the village of Kuchevishte, which covers a large area and is located near houses.

Due to weather conditions, the fire is expected to partially subside overnight, which would allow for more efficient action on the ground tomorrow.

"All available forces and resources intervened on the ground today, including municipal services, individuals and legal entities, as well as firefighting teams, the Protection and Rescue Directorate, the Ministry of Interior, and the CMC. All capacities are engaged, but conditions on the ground are extremely difficult. There is great distress among the population. In the early morning hours, aerial support was provided with three aircraft, and in the afternoon with another aircraft," said the CMC. 

Firefighting is planned to resume tomorrow at 5:00 am, engaging all institutional and municipal forces throughout the entire affected area, with the support of two Ministry of Interior aircraft. In the evening, the teams will remain on the ground and will intervene according to priorities and needs.
