Bozhinovska – Tripodi: Significant interest among Italian companies over investments in green, sustainable technologies

Skopje, 2 July 2025 (MIA) - As part of the Italy – North Macedonia business forum held Wednesday in Skopje, Minister of Energy, Mining and Mineral Resources Sanja Bozhinovska held a bilateral meeting with the Italian Undersecretary of State for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Maria Tripodi.
According to a press release from the Ministry of Energy, Mining and Mineral Resources, the meeting highlighted the shared satisfaction of the growing economic and political cooperation between the two countries, especially in the field of energy, where there is significant interest among Italian companies to invest in green and sustainable technologies.

Minister Bozhinovska informed Undersecretary Tripodi about the Ministry’s ongoing projects, as well as new opportunities for foreign investments in renewable sources of energy, energy infrastructure and energy storage. She noted that North Macedonia is becoming a stable and predictable partner on significant energy projects, with a clear regulatory framework and ambitious goals in the energy transition.
At the meeting, Tripodi expressed support for the energy reforms implemented by the country and interest in deepening bilateral cooperation through concrete projects and partnerships, both on an institutional and corporate level.
Bozhinovska and Tripodi agreed that energy represents a strategic field for further connection between North Macedonia and Italy, with opportunities for joint projects in the context of regional connectivity, transition to clean energy sources and the development of a modern energy grid.
