Andonovski: Digitalization - new energy of management

Skopje, 29 October 2025 (MIA) - Digitalization is the new energy of management, creating efficiency, transparency and resilience in all sectors, especially in energy, Minister of Digital Transformation Stefan Andonovski told a panel within the 14th International Forum on Energy for Sustainable Development (IFESD) in Skopje on Wednesday.

Minister Andonovski highlighted the need for joint action and coordinated efforts in the process of digital and energy transformation.

"We all achieve more when we work together. Our differences matter but humanity matters more," said Andonovski and added that digitalization can speed up the common mission of sustainable energy future.

According to him, digitalization is the bridge that connects the rising energy demand and the need for decarbonization, while adding it is not only a technical process but a new way of thinking and management "by linking data, institutions and citizens for the benefit of sustainable policies and green energy".

Andonovski presented the country's progress in the field of digital transformation through three key systems: the National Interoperability Platform that links up 74 institutions and ensures over two million safe transactions per month, a 160-percent increase compared to 2024; the national e-service web-portal (uslugi.gov.mk) that provides citizens with online services; and the e-Document Management System that has replaced paper in over 80 institutions.

"These systems are not only administrative tools but the foundation of efficient management, data integrity and transparency," said Andonovski.

He noted that digital transformation of energy systems requires regional coordination and joint approach.

"Challenges are far too complex for any country to solve them alone. Therefore, regional cooperation is the formula for success," underlined Andonovski while urging for action and building sustainable digital ecosystems.
