Skopje, 5 June 2025 (MIA) - Ambassador of Japan, Setsuko Kawahara, paid Thursday a visit to MIA and met with Director-General Darko Janevski, discussing the agency's importance in the Macedonian media sphere and its significance in the context of objective reporting.

Interlocutors discussed the agency's operations, professional journalism, MIA's commitment to fighting fake news, as well as its contribution for further strengthening of the ties between the two countries.

Director-General Janevski noted that although distant, the two countries can move closer by providing citizens with information about one another.
