Krushevo, 11 July 2020 (MIA) – We are only successful when we fight together, we’re not successful when we fight against each other. Albanians, Macedonians, Turks, Serbs, Vlachs, Bosniaks and Roma people – we may come from different ethnic communities, but we all share one home, one homeland, DUI candidate for Albanian PM, Naser Ziberi said in Krushevo.
Referring to the historical significance of the town, he said the 1903 Ilinden Uprising represented a symbol of liberation from the Ottoman Empire.
“Together. we achieved peace, we joined NATO and we can join the EU, too. Together, we can make life in North Macedonia better for all its citizens and we can create a future for better opportunities for our children,” said Ziberi.
Among other things, he referred to the fight against the two-party system, shared in the past 30 years by VMRO-DPMNE and SDSM. “It’s a cold political war where everyone is a loser. But, one thing’s for sure – the losers were the citizens and we are still stuck in this outdated political system, based on division and hatred,” he stated.
Calling on the citizens ‘regardless of ethnic and political background’ to move towards new, modern and democratic country, Ziberi pledged that as the first non-partisan and independent prime minister of North Macedonia he would serve all citizens.
