Ten cases of possible election irregularities reported to Public Prosecutor’s Offices

The Commission for monitoring possible irregularities related to committing criminal acts against the elections said Wednesday that voting until 5 pm was taking place in a peaceful atmosphere, without a substantial number of election irregularities. 

Skopje, 15 July 2020 (MIA) – The Commission for monitoring possible irregularities related to committing criminal acts against the elections said Wednesday that voting until 5 pm was taking place in a peaceful atmosphere, without a substantial number of election irregularities.

A total of 10 cases of election irregularities have been reported to Basic Public Prosecutor’s Offices and via the email address izbori@jorm.mk.

Most of them involve soliciting votes and bribery to vote for certain political parties, while two refer to people who had taken photos of their ballot papers.

“The Commission continues to further coordinate the Basic Public Prosecutor’s Offices and urgently act on fact-finding procedures,” a press release reads.
