Skopje, 20 June 2025 (MIA) - The SDSM Executive Board confirmed late Friday the candidates for mayors in 19 municipalities, including the incumbents of Centar, Kriva Palanka, Chucher Sandevo, Rosoman and Krushevo, Goran Gerasimovski, Sashko Mitovski, Sasho Komenovikj, Stojanche Nikolov and Tome Hristovski respectively.

The other candidates are Aleksandar Trajanovski in Aerodrom, Kostadin Acevski (Gjorche Petrov), Ilija Runtevski (Berovo), Aco Velkovski (Lozovo), Gorancho Krstev (Cheshinovo-Obleshevo), Blazhe Shopov (Bogdanci), Risto Dzhinev (Dojran), Zoran Ristevski (Mogila), Petar Mantev (Negotino), Ljube Kuzmanoski (Novaci), Stefan Radinoski (Vevchani), Aleksandar Buzlevski (Resen), Pavel Ivanov (Shtip), and Vlatko Mitovski (Gazi Baba).

"These candidates have been selected based on the principles we have set, by a rather broad consensus in the municipal organizations. These are people possessing the credibility and legitimacy to seek the citizens' trust," said SDSM leader Venko Filipche.

He said that candidates in the other municipalities will be unveiled very soon, adding there are discussions on supporting candidates not nominated by SDSM in some municipalities.
