Rokas: EU to deliver results at an accelerated pace with new commission

Bitola, 28 November 2024 (MIA) - You should expect a lot of hard work from the new composition of the European Commission, the Ambassador of the European Union, Michalis Rokas, told journalists Thursday.
At a press conference in Bitola, the Ambassador stressed that he expects the European Union will now be able to deliver results at an accelerated pace.
“You should expect a lot of hard work from the new composition of the European Commission. The process for the enlargement of the European Union is a top priority for the EU. As testimony or proof of that top priority is the fact that we have a Commissioner for Enlargement as well as a political director. So, we have all the tools at our disposal, and we need to put them to use from the first day of work of the new composition of the European Commission. As an EU Delegation, my team and I, as well as all other EU member states present here, remain committed to the progress so we can make use of all opportunities offered by the EU. We have various financial mechanisms, such as the European Commission’s Growth Plan and the Government’s reform agenda. And I expect that we, as the EU, will be able to deliver results at an accelerated pace as well,” Rokas said.
