Skopje, 21 June 2025 (MIA) - An earthquake measuring at ML2.4 of Richter local magnitude was registered late Friday in the border epicentral area with Albania, in the southern part of Lake Ohrid, about 120 km southwest of Skopje.

Citing current data, the Seismological Observatory at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics in Skopje said the earthquake was felt in Ohrid and the surrounding area with an intensity of III-IV degrees according to the European Macroseismic Scale.

A series of earthquakes were registered in the Ohrid region last week, the strongest of which had an intensity of V degrees according to the European Macroseismic Scale.
