Skopje, 27 August 2024 (MIA) - The amendments to the Law on Pension and Disability Insurance that will enable an increase of pensions on September 1, 2024 and March 1, 2025 have been approved by the Government and will be submitted to Parliament soon, the Ministry of Social Policy, Demographics and Youth said Tuesday.

“On September 1, 2024, all types of pensions paid out in accordance with this Law as of August 31, 2024, will be increased by Mden 2.500 and on March 1, 2025 all pensions paid out as of February 28, 2025 will be increased by Mden 2.500,” the Ministry said.

The Ministry said the aim of the amendments is to increase the living standard and ensure a better and higher quality life for pensioners.
