Skopje, 12 July 2020 (MIA) – A secretly recorded conversation was leaked Sunday yet again on the last day of the 2020 election campaign, which was dominated by such recordings in the past 20 days.
Some dozen tapped conversations were posted on several YouTube channels in which politicians from both the government and the opposition can be heard.
On Sunday, an illegal 12-second recording was posted on a YouTube channel in which allegedly the voice of SDSM leader Zoran Zaev can be heard discussing an offer in amount of EUR 6 million and mentioning the name of a lawyer.
Also on Sunday, audio conversations were posted on a different YouTube channel, in which Mickoski allegedly can be heard having secret meetings with the eight MPs, who were ousted from the opposition party. In the conversations, he can be heard persuading them not to endorse the Public Prosecution Law.
The eight MPs condemned the leaked conversations secretly recorded at a meeting with the VMRO-DPMNE leader in the office of a lawmaker in Parliament and urged the competent institutions to investigate who, how and why the conversations were tapped.’
Recently in an interview with MIA, Zaev said he had pressed charged involving all leaked conversations.
Mickoski at a TV debate with Zaev said he hadn’t pressed charges, but noted that he would address the issue after the elections.
