Skopje, 31 July 2020 (MIA) – President Stevo Pendarovski, on the occasion of the Muslim holiday Eid al-Adha, Qurban Bayram. has sent greetings to the Acting Head of the Islamic Religious Community, Reis ul-Ulema H. Hfz. Shaqir ef. Fetahu and to all citizens of Islamic faith in North Macedonia.
In the greeting, he wishes for happiness, joy, love and prosperity, his Office says.
As a holiday of sharing and solidarity, Pendarovski says, may it inspire us to help all those who need material and spiritual support.
“Let charity and philanthropy be part of our lives not only during the holidays, but throughout the year. Let us continue to share what we have honestly and meaningfully with our family, our friends and the whole community,” says the greeting.
Today, the President adds, when the entire human civilization is facing the pandemic of COVID-19, as never before, we must show unity and harmony and come out as winners.
“I believe that it is with the power of prayer and love that we will overcome all the challenges we face on a personal and collective level.”
“In accordance with the traditions of mutual respect and esteem, may we take care and help unconditionally all our fellow citizens, regardless of ethnic, religious or ideological affiliation. Let us continue building and maintaining our common home, the Republic of North Macedonia,” President Pendarovski says, wishing all Muslims good health, happiness and well-being.
