Skopje, 13 July 2020 (MIA) – President Stevo Pendarovski on Monday received via video-conference the credentials of Jūratė Raguckienė, the new Ambassador of Lithuania to North Macedonia, based in Zagreb.
Extending congratulations to Ambassador Raguckienė, President Pendarovski voiced confidence that her new post will make a substantial contribution to further strengthening the cooperation between the two countries in all areas of mutual interest.
“The two interlocutors expressed content with the friendly political relations, reaffirming readiness of the two countries to further deepen and enhance cooperation, especially in economy, trade exchange and investment,” the President’s Office said in a press release.
As regards North Macedonia’s strategic aspirations for accession to the European Union, Pendarovski extended gratitude for Lithuania’s open and strong support to the country’s Euro-Atlantic integration.
Pendarovski and Raguckienė also focused on the current COVID-19 pandemic situation in the two countries, as well as responding to the health, social and economic effects of the crisis.
The President wished the Ambassador success in her new post, highlighting full cooperation and support from the country’s institutions.
