Ljubljana, 28 April 2020 (MIA) — A total of 683 people were tested for COVID-19 in Slovenia, resulting in six new cases on Monday. The country’s current number of confirmed infections stands at 1,408, according to an STA report.
Three COVID-19 patients died yesterday, bringing Slovenia’s death toll to 86, the country’s government said Tuesday.
Twenty-four of the country’s 78 hospitalized patients were in intensive care units on Tuesday, with two recently recovered patients discharged during the day, and two new patients admitted to the ICU.
According to the Slovenian press agency, a total of 50,290 tests have been performed in Slovenia so far, after the government introduced random testing of the population for the novel coronavirus last Monday.
“No new infections have been detected as part of the random testing campaign,” the STA report states. mr/
