North Macedonia registers 96 new coronavirus cases, 10 deaths

Of 724 tests conducted in the past 24 hours, 96 new COVID-19 cases were registered in North Macedonia, including 24 in the capital Skopje.

Skopje, 20 July 2020 (MIA) – Of 724 tests conducted in the past 24 hours, 96 new COVID-19 cases were registered in North Macedonia, including 24 in the capital Skopje.

In the same 24-hour period, 10 patients died from Skopje, Kumanovo, Shtip, Tetovo, Gostivar and Kichevo, the Health Ministry said Monday. They were aged 76, 85, 71, 53, 79, 82 and 60. The new virus was detected after an autopsy was performed on a 48-year-old patient.

New cases were also registered in Kumanovo (6), Shtip (24), Prilep (1), Tetovo (7), Struga (9), Bitola (1) Ohrid (6), Gostivar (4), Strumica (3), Kriva Palanka (1), Radovish (5), Kochani (2), and Sveti Nikole (3).

The Institute of Public Health registered 61 recovered patients in Skopje (27), Shtip (8), Kumanovo (16), Prilep (4), Tetovo (4), Kavadarci (1), Gevgelija (1), Kriva Palanka (3), Kratovo (1), Kichevo (1) and Resen (3).

Since the onset of the epidemic, North Macedonia has registered 9,249 confirmed coronavirus cases, while 4,871 people have recovered.

Death toll has reached 432.

At the moment, there are 3,946 active cases in the country. Most of them are reported in Skopje – 1,880.
