North Macedonia registers 102 new COVID-19 cases, 5 deaths

Of 1,356 tests conducted in the past 24 hours, 102 new COVID-19 cases were registered in North Macedonia.

Skopje, 28 July 2020 (MIA) – Of 1,356 tests conducted in the past 24 hours, 102 new COVID-19 cases were registered in North Macedonia.

A majority of those – 39 cases – were registered in Skopje, followed by Shtip (13), Kumanovo (11), Gostivar (8), Bitola (6), Kichevo (4), Prilep (3), Ohrid (3), Kavadarci (3), Sveti Nikole (3), Tetovo (2), Struga (2), Radovish (1), Kochani (1), Demir Hisar (1), Makedonski Brod (1), Vinica (1), the Health Ministry said in a press release on Tuesday.

Five patients died, one from Skopje, Kichevo, Kumanovo, Prilep and Shtip each. They were aged 48-76.

The Institute of Public Health registered 99 recovered patients in Skopje (49), Shtip (2), Tetovo (10), Struga (17), Ohrid (15), Gostivar (2), Strumica (1), Kochani (1), Kichevo (1), Resen (1).

Since the onset of the epidemic, North Macedonia has registered 10,315 confirmed coronavirus cases, while 5,663 people have recovered. At the moment, there are 4,181 active cases in the country.

Death toll has reached 471.

So far, a total of 97,550 tests have been conducted in the country.
