Levica party files 102 complaints to Administrative Court

The political party Levica filed 102 complaints to the Administrative Court over the protection of the right to vote on Wednesday.

Skopje, 22 July 2020 (MIA) – The political party Levica filed 102 complaints to the Administrative Court over the protection of the right to vote on Wednesday.

The Administrative Court has scheduled several public sessions for today to discuss 75 complaints filed by the Alliance for Albanians-Alternativa coalition, as well as one complaint submitted by Integra – Macedonian Conservative Party.

As Administrative Court President Burim Sejdini said earlier panels of judges were selected by drawing of lots to discuss the complaints. The political parties can file a complaint over the election process to the Administrative Court within 24 hours upon receiving the SEC’s decision and the Court is obliged to decide on the appeal within 60 hours.

Following the decision of the Administrative Court and the receipt of possible decisions by the Constitutional Court over the protection of the right to vote, the SEC, in accordance with the law, will announce the final official results of the early parliamentary polls. The SEC will then issue certificates to the elected MPs. The deadline for holding the constitutive session of the Parliament is August 4.
