Pristina, 14 February 2021 (dpa/MIA) – A new parliament is to be elected in Kosovo on Sunday for the second time in one and a half years.
The election is being held early because, according to a ruling by the Constitutional Court, the last government was formed through an illegitimate vote in parliament.
The favourite candidate is the left-wing Vetevendosje (Self-Determination) movement. Until the last change of government, it had provided the prime minister for four months.
Polling stations open at 7 am and close at 7 pm (0600-1800 GMT). Partial results are expected late Sunday evening.
