Skopje, 13 September 2025 (MIA) - Following long-standing analyses and surveys, VMRO-DPMNE has completed the list of candidates for mayors and council members for the coming local elections, said the party's secretary-general Gjorgjija Sajkoski in front of the State Election Commission (SEC) HQ on Saturday.

Sajkoski said those who produced good results over the past four years have been elected as mayor candidates, but also new ones "who are respected members of their communities".

"The candidates for council members include people nominated by the VMRO-DPMNE local and municipal committees. The party is mobilized and we will have huge success at the local elections, expecting more mayors and council seats compared to 2021," said Sajkoski.

According to him, all analyses and what they see in the field "point to a big victory at the local elections".

"Citizens know, they value the quality of the candidates but also what has been done by them in the past period. VMRO-DPMNE delivers on its promises. Hard work will be rewarded at the local elections," added Sajkoski.

Nominations for mayors and council members in 80 municipalities and the City of Skopje for the October 19 local elections can be submitted to the Municipal Election Commissions and the City of Skopje Election Commission by midnight on Saturday.
