Washington, 30 April 2025 (dpa/MIA) - US President Donald Trump marked 100 days in office with a campaign-style rally in Michigan on Tuesday.
Trump hailed the start of his second term as "the most successful 100 days of any administration in the history of our country," while addressing his supporters.
He repeated many of his common talking points - hailing his hardline immigration policies, repeating false claims of having won the 2020 election, and criticizing former president Joe Biden, "radical-left judges" and media.
He also touted his administration's work on social issues, including the recognition of only two genders and excluding transgender athletes from participating in women's sports.
"I ended all of the lawless so-called diversity, equity and inclusion bullshit, all across the federal government and the private sector," Trump said.
"And I made it the official policy of the United States government that there are only two genders, male and female. And the really easy one, this was the easiest one I had, I banned men from competing in women's sports."
Trump pledged to pass "the largest tax cuts in American history," in the coming months.
"And that will include no tax on tips, no tax on Social Security, no tax on overtime," Trump said.
"We're just getting started," he added. "You haven't seen anything yet."
