Skopje, 24 September 2025 (MIA) - The Ministry of Health, in cooperation with the University Clinic for Pulmonology and Allergology, will carry out September 24-25 a screening of the population in the village of Trubarevo, said Health Minister Azir Aliu and Clinic director Oliver Zafirovski on Tuesday.

"Two teams from the clinic will carry out the screening. The checkups are available for all residents of Trubarevo and its surrounding, especially for people two have difficulties in breathing or experience symptoms that point to respiratory diseases," said Minister Aliu.

The screening will include a full clinical examination, spirometry, ECG and other checks.

"Our goal is to provide top-level healthcare of all citizens. If there is a need for additional examinations, they will be conducted on the spot or the patients will be sent to the pulmonology clinic," added Aliu.

According to him, the campaign would ensure timely detection of possible symptoms among the population.

Clinic director Zafirovski welcomed the campaign while saying "people's health comes first". ik/ba/
