Skopje, 16 February 2026 (MIA) - Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Economy, Cvetan Tripunovski, said Monday that the Payment Agency has resumed normal operations. He added that he couldn't give a specific date for new IPARD calls, but work is underway to prepare documentation for accreditation of new measures.
At a press briefing on Monday Tripunovski said he will travel to Brussels next month for a meeting that has already been announced.
"As regards the remarks from Brussels, I cannot say when the entire process will be unblocked and resume, but it is important that work is underway on documentation for accreditation of new measures. The state will most likely step forward and support the "clean" IPARD applications that have already been approved and are being implemented, and then those funds will be compensated with European funds from IPARD," said the Minister.
Commenting on floods currently affecting parts of the country, in terms of the agricultural sector, Tripunovski said an assessment will be made after damage is repaired. At this point, he noted, the Agriculture Ministry is focused on the rehabilitation process, together with the Vodostopanstvo enterprise.
