Skopje, 1 August 2025 (MIA) — Streets will be closed in downtown Skopje as of 9 am Saturday for an event marking the Ilinden national holiday.

According to the Ministry of Interior in a press release, the following streets will be closed until the end of the event:

— 11th October Street, in front of Parliament to the intersection with Kocho Racin Boulevard near the Red Cross headquarters; and

— Philip II of Macedon Street, from the intersection with 11th October Street to the intersection with 13th November Quay Street.

Police will be on hand to ensure public safety and traffic restrictions are followed, the release said. mr/
