The country's first EU-funded milk vending machine installed in downtown Kichevo

Skopje, 25 August 2025 (MIA) – The first milk vending machine in Macedonia, provided with EU funds through the AgroSmart project – implemented by the Macedonian Enterprise Development Foundation (MEDF), Hemera and CEP Mozhnosti - was put into service Monday in the center of the town of Kichevo.

MEDF said the residents of Kichevo and the region have a modern access to raw cow’s milk, produced by the Krnino Agricultural Cooperative, made up of members of Sveta Bogorodica Prechista monastery.
“Milk offered in the vending machine is raw whose natural nutritious characteristics have been preserved, without additives and in controlled hygienic conditions and temperature. In addition to milk, consumers can also buy cheese,” said Stanoja Stanojovski of the monastery, which is part of Krnino Agricultural Cooperative.
MEDF’s Lazar Nedanoski said the milk vending machine is an example of how Macedonian farms should be modernized and how local produces should be sold in a modern way after using EU funds.

Attending the event, Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Economy Cvetan Tripunovski said modernization of agriculture is a priority of his ministry’s priorities and programs, said MEDF.
The promotion also included a visit to a cow’s farm near the monastery, where a cow milking line and a dairy for the production of dairy products have been installed.
