Ten burn patients receive PRP therapy in Kochani

Skopje, 18 June 2025 (MIA) - Health Insurance Fund director Sasho Klekovski said in a Facebook post on Wednesday that ten people injured in the deadly fire in Kochani had received PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) therapy at the General Hospital in Kochani.

According to Klekovski, this is a big step forward because patients will be able to receive PRP therapy without traveling to Skopje.

"Ten people injured in the tragedy were treated with PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) therapy at the General Hospital in Kochani. The interventions were performed by a team from Skopje's St. Naum of Ohrid Surgery Hospital. Previously, nine people received the treatment at the Plastic Surgery Clinic in Skopje. This is a big step forward - PRP therapy is now available in Kochani, without the need to travel to Skopje. PRP is an innovative method that uses a patient's own blood to promote healing in damaged tissues," Klekovski posted on Facebook.
