Skopje, 11 May 2026 (TAV/MIA) - TAV Macedonia, a subsidiary of TAV Airports, a member of Groupe ADP, finished the first 4 months of 2026 with a strong, record 32.4% passenger growth, serving a total of 1.2 million passengers (1,202,828) at Skopje International Airport and Ohrid St. Paul the Apostle Airport.
In the same period, January-April, a total of 8,123 flights were served at both Macedonian airports, which is a 10.7% annual increase.

"TAV Macedonia continues to mark record double digit passenger traffic increase. In the first four months of this year we have served a total of 1.2 million passengers at both Skopje and Ohrid Airports, which is a high increase of a record 32.4% and will rank us among the fastest-growing airports in Europe and worldwide. Airports Council International-Europe already ranked us among the fastest-growing non-EU airports with January figures. We are happy that the strong, record growth continues, despite the global geopolitical challenges and the energy crisis. This is not a coincidence but a direct result of our strong commitment and continuous efforts, together with the Government, to expand the route network from both Skopje and Ohrid Airports. This year, so far we have opened 5 new destinations, while in the upcoming period we will open additional 7 new destinations, from both airports, making a total of 12 new destinations. With this, we expect the passenger growth to continue until the end of the year, creating a strong basis for a stable growth in the upcoming years”, stated Nejat Kurt, TAV Macedonia General Manager.
As he emphasized, besides the route network expansion and air traffic growth, TAV Macedonia will stay focused on improvement of the airport service quality, ensuring excellent customer experience for both airlines and passengers.

Within the summer flights schedule 2026, which starts at the end of March and ends at the end of October, 15 airlines will fly to 54 destinations from Skopje Airport, including the regular year-round flights and the seasonal flights, while at the same time 7 airlines fly to 24 charter destinations, which is a total of 78 destinations from the Macedonian capital.
After the launch of the new flights to Budapest and Naples from Skopje Airport, in June and July flights to Trabzon (chartered), Samsun (chartered) and Palermo and Alghero will start.
From Ohrid St. Paul the Apostle Airport, in the summer flights schedule, 8 airlines will fly to 17 destinations out of which 14 are regular year-round and seasonal destinations, while three are chartered flights.
