Struga, 23 August 2025 (MIA) – The 64th Struga Poetry Evenings festival resumes Saturday with the annual poetry portrait of the 2025 Golden Wreath winner, Slovak poet Ivan Štrpka, which takes place this evening at St. Sofia church in Ohrid.

Earlier today, the winner of the Miladinov Brother award for best book of poetry in Macedonian between two festivals will be revealed. Books by Andrej Al-Asadi, Juliana Velichkovska, Gordana Mihailova Boshnakoska, Violeta Tancheva-Zlateva and Branko Cvetkovski are in the running. 

The festival ends on Sunday with the Bridges ceremony on the Bridge of Poetry in Struga, which will include poetry readings and presentation of the main awards, including Golden Wreath, Bridges of Struga and Miladinov Brothers.
