Skopje, 23 June 2025 (MIA) - Strong institutions are the engine of sustainable change. They turn vision into results, Finance Minister Gordana Dimitrieska-Kochoska told the final session of the CEF Forum Steering Board annual meeting in Becici, Montenegro, on Monday.

Minister Dimitrieska-Kochoska said institutional development is not an addition to reforms but their foundation, noting that public institutions must be strategically oriented, act with integrity and swiftly respond to challenges, especially in the sector of public finance management, the Ministry of Finance said in a press release.

"Our capability to implement reforms does not depend only on strategies and action plans, but the capacity and resilience of institutions implementing these changes," said Dimitrieska-Kochoska.

Therefore, she added, the Ministry of Finance has placed institutional development at the core of its reform strategy, through the establishment of a Public Finance Academy.

"The academy is not only a training center but also a generator to build competence and continued learning culture," said the Finin.

Dimitrieska-Kochoska thanked CEF for its leadership as North Macedonia assumes the Steering Board Presidency, reads the press release.
